Two really sweet and fun Young Adult Romances!

I stumbled upon Melissa A. Hanson and her work through one of the various Goodreads groups I am a member of. I signed up to read and review one of her works & I'm so glad I did! Both are heartwarming contemporary romances and I couldn't resist sharing my reviews of them here!
A Healing Heart

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

A Healing Heart is a wonderful book that had me teary-eyed within the first five minutes. It is a beautifully told story of a young woman learning how to cope following a tragedy, and the young man who comes into her life and helps her see she has things to live for. It was a very adorable teenage love story that gave me all the feels. :)

The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars was because there were some sections where the author would quickly describe what transpired and then abruptly move on to another place/time period/character POV. I was taken out of the moment at some times as a result, but enjoyed the book regardless.

To summarize, I loved the story, loved the characters, and am eager to read more work by Melissa Hanson! She's an author to keep an eye on, for sure!
A Healing Spirit

Such a cute young adult romance!

I was given this novel in exchange for an honest review. That being said, that fact had no bearing on what I am about to write.

I absolutely LOVED A Healing Spirit. I actually read A Healing Heart as well (the first book in the series). While I enjoyed that book, A Healing Spirit is definitely my favorite of the two.

A Healing Heart opens with the reader reconnecting with Mia and what she has been doing since graduating from high school. She and friends from the previous novel are heading up to a ski resort to hang out after not seeing each other for a while. It was fun for me to catch up with all the characters I grew fond of in the previous novel at this point!

While skiing, a horrible accident occurs which threatens Mia's life. One of the first responders turns out to be Dylan, a good-looking college student working at the ski resort. Can you say dreamy love interest? For some reason he can't imagine, Dylan is drawn to checking in on Mia after the accident. I don't want to spoil what happens, lets just say it gives you all the butterflies you could want.

A Healing Heart has a touch of a love triangle, a hint of mystery, and ends with heart-racing action. It was SO GOOD! Melissa Hanson did a great job (again!) creating lovable characters with realistic plot development which makes this young adult romance stand out from many of the rest (in my opinion!)

Do yourself a favor and give this book a try! I don't think you will regret it. :)
